Bournemouth is a vibrant city with a great student life. The bournemouth University, as well as the Bournemouth and Poole College and tha Arts Institute at Bournemouth, bring a large number of students to the area, which has a number of trendy bars and night clubs, as well as plenty of places to get a cheap drink.

With a population of just over 163,000, it is large enough to have all the facilities of a big town but small enough that you should never feel lost! So if you want to get out and have some fun during the day there is plenty to do. Bournemouth's 12 kilometres of sandy beaches have lots to offer, including watersports like wind surfing and jet skiing, as well as beach volleyball and other beach activities in the Beach Game Zones. Bournemouth also has a good shopping area and the Bournemouth International Centre where you can catch great acts, such as Snow Patrol, The Scissor Sisters, Pink, Basement Jaxx, Lostprophets, DJ Shadow and many more.
