Live Music

The area is well served when it comes to live entertainment, and boasts some fine live music venues, from the Lighthouse and BIC, to more intimate venues such as Mr Kyps in Poole.

There is also a thriving pub music circuit and there's no shortage of local talent either (witness the number of music shops in the conurbation). Of particular interest is the Thomas Tripp (Christchurch), which puts on some of the best acts in the area, and the Lord Nelson on Poole quay, well known for its Sunday afternoon bashes, and Wednesday evenings in the summer. Bands to watch out for include the fantastic FireBird rock band Bournemouth.
